about us.

We’re a small, boutique consultancy just outside Washington, D.C. that’s narrowly focused on helping small businesses strategically manage their government contracts, particularly those in InfoSec and IT. Our size and expertise allow us to be uniquely agile in our approach, which gives us more flexibility than most in how we craft solutions that actually work.

We love our work, and we’d love to meet you.

ASYA R. EVANS
Principal, Strategy & Execution

Drawing from over ten years of public-private experience and nearly ~$.5B in contracts managed, I now advise and support small GovCon firms through their complex contract engagements and help them understand, perform, comply with, and strategically optimize their contracts’ posture. In my role at Magnolia, I oversee the development and execution of all strategic client initiatives, and work with leaders to conceive and establish the necessary strategy and infrastructure to effectively monetize their contracts. I help businesses form the foundation upon which larger and more complex solicitations can be acquired and managed, and show how effective contract management can help capture latent growth opportunities.

As an advocate of servant-style leadership, I take great pride in empowering those I work with to develop themselves and their skillsets, and enjoy using my industry experience and forward-thinking mindset to be an effective steward of our clients’ trust and resources. I’ve mentored and trained many talented, high-performing contracts professionals across both public and private sectors and am deeply invested in helping businesses fully realize their GovCon programs.

I hold a Master of Public Administration from Pennsylvania State University, a B.S. in Psychology from Howard University, and speak both English and Spanish.

Outside of work, I spend most of my time traveling, reading, and exploring the many parks and outside spaces throughout DC with my family.

ARIN S. OWENS
Principal, Growth & Relationship Management

With over a decade of experience in business development and client relations, I help small businesses capture new opportunities through strategic contract support, responsive proposal development, and genuine client engagement. In my role at Magnolia, I work with clients to co-create value, ensure that project outcomes align with long-term business goals, and help owners position themselves to fully realize their contract portfolio’s potential.

Early in my career I learned from exceptionally talented growth and operations leaders in the architectural and logistics industry where I developed winning proposals, leveraged strategic partnerships to capture new market opportunities, and developed methods that transformed neglected processes into profitable channels.

I live in a suburb of Washington, D.C. with my wife Asya and dog Abby, and spend much of my free time traveling or exploring the robust assortment of dining options in our nation’s capital.
